I did an all-electronic set this week, including a block of Depeche Mode, dedicated to my fellow Pirate Cat DJ Alex, who is probably thier number one fan. I also had new intern Will on to read some PSAs.
I haven't had any bands on in a few weeks, but i'm currently working on scheduling some interviews for the coming months...expect to hear from Death Brigade, Los High Tops, Goodbye Gadget, Dyed RED Twice, and more! This week I flew solo, without any performances or interviews. I did, however, have my two favorite friends and classmates, Katie and Jilian, in with me to read some PSAs and tell awkward stories about their experiences on BART. Also listen for my HUGE f-up during the second song i played, where I forgot to turn off my microphone (it's really bad! you'll definitely hear it!) FUN.
Oh, and I also tried something new with my format (which is partly why I messed up on the whole turning-off-my-microphone thing)...you'll now hear some lovely background music when I'm talking, courtesy of an instrumental version of the album CexCells by Blaqk Audio.
